Road Town

British Virgin Islands

British Overseas Territory in the eastern Caribbean, operating a common law system with final appeal to the Privy Council. Company incorporation is the dominant industry, and the BVI business company is the product the territory is known for worldwide.

Funds sit alongside that registry rather than apart from it, and one authority runs both. The regime separates lightly regulated private and approved funds from professional and public funds, which is the choice most sponsors are making when they come here.
