This site sets no cookies until you tell us we may. When you first arrive you are asked whether to allow analytics cookies, and nothing is stored on your device before you answer. Rejecting takes the same single click as accepting.
If you reject, no analytics cookie is set and no request is made to Google. This is not a preference we record and then ignore. You can confirm it yourself in your browser's developer tools.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for a site to work at all. Others, including the ones we ask about, exist to tell the site's owner how the site is being used.
We use one analytics tool, Google Analytics 4, and nothing else. There are no advertising trackers on this site, so there are no categories to choose between and the banner offers a plain accept or reject.
Until you choose, the analytics tag does not load. If you accept, it loads and sets the cookies described below. If you reject, it never loads.
Set once you have answered, whichever way you answered. It stores that answer and nothing else, so that you are not asked again on every page. It holds no identifier and tells us nothing about you. It lasts six months, after which we ask again. If you never answer, it is never set. A cookie that exists only to record a cookie choice does not itself require permission.
Set by Google Analytics 4, and only if you accept. They allow us to count visits, see which pages are read, and see which outbound links are followed, so that we can tell which parts of the portal are worth the work of maintaining. Both last two years unless you delete them or change your answer. Google LLC processes this data on our instructions, and we have the setting enabled that strips email addresses from the data before it is stored.
The Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page reopens the choice. Changing from accept to reject deletes the Google Analytics cookies at the same time. Your answer holds for six months, and we ask again after that.
